Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)

How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

Any single ladies at the CSII office?
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Why would you resign? Look for a job while getting paid. Rigjt!!!!
Take the competitor’s offer. The other partner will have no say in your case to be continue with the firm. I’ve known instances where people have been taken off chargeable projects and fired, with even delivery partner not consulted and taken by surprise. PwC used to be the best of the Big 4 to work for, now it’s the worst! It’s also not good for your CV as clients have started to get that perception too
Right
You have not been on the bench long. Last year my utilization was in 30s but contribution to internal projects helped me sail through.
PwC does layoffs if you’re on the bench for a month??
When I was at PwC, I knew one manager who was on the bench for a year before they finally let him go. Ride it out!
Yeah. Reframe / clarify the question. Are you asking if PWC will lay you off after being on the bench for a month? Or are you asking for when is the best time to give two weeks notice when you have a new job lined up?
Wait and get severance pay.
PwC won't lay off for a month of bench time. It totally depends on the pipeline of your practice
I know 2 managers let go after being on bench for a month. I know they don't have any where to staff me now.
Op what do you do and what level?
Quit now dummy, more work for me😃😃😃😃
Got an email from staffing asking me to complete some certifications. I am in bcc so this went out to all bench mates I guess
If layoff is imminent, Get another job quick, even if it’s not exactly what you want. It becomes very difficult to get sth when you are out of work. Which practice ?
It’s easier to find a job if you have a job. I wouldn’t quit.
Already found a job, just thinking on when to start other job, they can wait another month
So the part about being on the bench is kind of irrelevant. You’re basically asking if you should keep sitting around and doing nothing to collect a check, then get fired and start your new job? Am I missing something? Are you looking for some sort of validation?
I am a manager in advisory
I highly doubt the pipeline in my practice is good, and have not heard from staffing team in about 2 weeks.
Now on 3rd week on bench, (4 weeks but with 1 week vac). Not heard from staffing or anybody in 2 weeks now.
