Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)

You definitely don't need any degree to transition from IT Audit to Cyber. It's a relatively easy change. Get a couple certs and get staffed on a cyber engagement and you'll be good.
I have an accounting education and passed the cpa. You definitely don’t need a cyber degree to move into the field
What is your level currently? I’ve heard of seniors in IT audit that have moved firms to go into cyber without needing a degree for it. You might be able to do the same. It might be harder to make that lateral move as a manager but it’s worth a shot
You should consider cyber certs like the CISSP
Why not do an MBA? If you are starting over, this would give you great opportunities down the line…
I already have my CPA and am not as interested in the business side that an MBA would take me.
Getting a masters degree is a waste and not recommended. Like others have said, try to network your way into cyber at your current firm or look elsewhere.
