Hi TCSERS Tata Consultancy
Are you guys asked to work for 3days a week ? If so, are you strictly following it ? Mine starts from next week but I am planning to go twice per week( office is 120km from my home and will be travelling by train). Can't immediate shift as my kid is studying at a school in my hometown. Will there be any problem if I work for 2 days from office and rest 3days from home ? Will there be any strict actions taken?
Looking for some genuine reply.

I took thumbprint of my pinky as my 1yo thumbprint.
This is what i did as well. Indian government doesn't cares Imho
I went through the OCI process recently. Honestly, the crappiest application process ever. Soooo many conflicting instructions. Sorry OP, while I can’t help, I can most definitely commiserate.
100% agree conflicting instructions
When registering on the Indian government website, the instruction says: "A person who has not attained the age of 18 years is considered as minor. In case of minor who cannot sign, his/her left thumb impression may be placed in the signature box. Parents should not sign on the behalf of the children."
On the CKGS website, the instruction says: "For child less than 5 years of age thumb impression of the minor child should be in the signature box under their photo using only a BLACK or BLUE inkpad. (Use Left Thumb impression for Boys & Right Thumb impression for girls)."
For girl babies, are we supposed to use left fingerprint while registering on the government website and right fingerprint on CKGS application forms?
I have gone through for my 1 yo daughter, tbh this is dumb requirement but just to meet the checkbox I took her left thumb impression (using ink pad) they will not pay attention to this much... also when you have to fit the image in certain KB and size it will all go off anyway... so just take impression and upload whatever best you can
Have you considered indian Visa for you child? Asking because per latest guidelines, you ll have to redo child's OCI everytime you renew her passport. And it's a pain
I don’t believe so, no
However, the eVisa prices have dropped and may be even cheaper to get $25 visa every time. U don’t get to stay beyond 30days tho.
Is there a easy checklist of OCI documents anyone can share here please?
