I applied for a government position 2 years ago. They had an HR issue before and I was denied after I joined Accenture. I appealed the denial and now the government agency will begin processing my application again. As part of this - my current employer may be contacted. Would my manager or people lead be contacted? Also, if I’m not set on taking the government job (huge pay cut) is it worth just declining the offer to not face ramifications with Accenture ?

PEOPLE DO MAKE MISTAKES!! but My manager reacts very rudely everytime with me, And all seniors who are with him around 10+ years will assign tickets to me and they monitor me continuously.
