Day of the reschedule; no-show’d for the Zoom Call and ignored my messages, emails and call after. completely ghosted me 👻
What’s interviewing been like for you all lately?
McKinsey & Company Does level and/or office matter for referrals at McKinsey & Company? A friend is willing to refer at the Associate level in my target office though I did not get any traction w/ the referral last year. I'm a Veteran so I also recognize there may be a resume translation issue despite the prior version getting me interviews with BCG and Bain. I have updated the resume since - though still wondering if there's anything else I can do to strengthen my case. Thank you in advance for any advice.

The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

I can relate to the frustration. Same happened to me. Met with SEVERAL people 1 hour each. I asked for feedback but didn’t get a response. Hang in there. There is something better out there—for both of us!
I understand your sentiment, but please don’t get too hung up on why they said yes or no because at the end it doesn’t really matter. A lot of people make these decisions based on vibes and relatability, even if they might lie and see it is based on experience.
Just keep pushing, the right position for you will come soon!!
I would still be inclined to reach out and ask - worst they can do is ghost you (again). It's weird times for sure. I know how easy it is to get discouraged, but trust me... things DO end up working out. Just have to take the long road sometimes. Way to keep pressing on.
I just reached out hopefully I will get a response soon.

Wow! 2hours interview
I remember when we were taught in school to hand write thank you letters to companies after interviewing. One time I did this and I got a handwritten letter back explaining that needing three days off (to see a specialist) every six weeks was not a reasonable accommodation. I thought I'd share.
