That’s so frustrating, but try not to get discouraged. Companies re-post roles throughout the week so they don’t get buried.
THIS. Yes....try to keep your head up. It really doesn't mean anything.
Keep in mind your company's recruiters are probably overwhelmed too. My former company had a months' long wait for any posting and even then to get the recruiter's attention it was difficult. Hang in there.
I went through a similar situation when I was going through an internal interview process. Finally after 2 months of back and forth I had enough. I began looking externally and got an offer within a week. May be time to look outside your organization…
I have been as well! I assumed staying internal would be an easier process but, never assume!
Build a little rapport with the assigned recruiter and touch back every other day “which post should I apply to for this opening today” and empathize with whatever BS they’re giving for pitty points. They’re less likely to forget you, nor get annoyed with you as their temporary therapist and they’re not hiring for the position so no risk in reputation. Sounds like the application review process isn’t great so their day is likely more challenging bc of it.
I scheduled a meeting with them (figured that would be a little more concrete than an mail). I’ll have to keep following up until I have some sort of answer. Thank you!
It may help to find out who the hiring manager is and let them know you are interested.
My current manager already sent over a recommendation on my behalf for the position. I could always reach out to them directly as well I’ve worked with them on several projects already (which have gone good!).
Maybe the recruiter gets some kind of compensation or favorable accolade for onboarding someone from outside the organization. That may incentivize them to look outside.
