I applied to BCG at the end of July as an experienced hire and didn't get an interview (just the Pymetrics then a rejection email). A partner was referring me. Should I assume my resume needs major improvement or that my timing for applying was bad (i.e. maybe they'd already completed their experienced hiring for the year)?

I'll probably apply again in a year or so and just want to know what I should be working on.

Had a final round at BCG last Friday. After the interviews they said that the would release results today. Then I got an email today saying they will only give the results on the next Friday. This isn’t really an interview question but more of an on-boarding question.
Bit of background- I left my job of 3 years in Dec 2021 for a new company. Initially, I thought the company was great but my mind quickly changed. The on-boarding process was horrible, minimal training, thrown onto enterprise project 2 weeks in, over time, and there is no process for anything. I ended up hating my job.
