Can you not get Accenture to pay for your PMP? I would say wait for b school to use the benefits to max it out unless the PMP course costs more per credit hour than your target school
Wasn’t aware they offered that, nice. Either way, I’d say figure out how many months of entitlement you’ll have to spend for b school. If you’ll have some left over then it’s an easy choice, otherwise the cost of the PMP comes into play. Also keep in mind that with ch33, you need to be > half time to get BAH allowance, so you’re throwing money away if you won’t be more than that for those months
For reference, when I was FT in grad school (non-mba) I got all my tuition covered @ 12k/semester, and 1275 a month in BAH. Coming from a poor family and without much savings, it was nice not having to take a part time job or loans for grad school
I agree EY1, I got all of my undergrad, including study abroad, paid for. Best decision I’ve ever made
Ditto EY1. Assuming you mean Post 9/11, use it for school. Even better if the school participates in Yellow Ribbon Program. Made that Ivy tuition a sweet sweet 0 (plus BAH for living).
University of Syracuse has an endowment from JP Morgan for Vet certs. You can get it through them for free and they will even pay for exam.
Check out IVMF's program like PM1 said. They can cover the cost of your PMP. http://onward2opportunity-vctp.org/course-offerings/
... coursework while in a MBA program?
I’m actually at IBM now and they don’t pay for you to take the PMP. The impact to my remaining entitlement is minimal. I found this on the VA website a few minutes ago
Thanks. I think I’ll use this option instead and save my benefit for B-School
