I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs

I think 750+ still puts you top tier for most applications
It's not a major difference 760+ sees the same rates as those at 800 even. There's a threshold where a higher score is simply for bragging rights
There are people that try for a perfect score for bragging rights, look it up
A 30 point swing isn’t huge, but it could move you between different tiers that they have. So it really depends on the/their scale
Those scores should both put you in the very good category, so shouldn’t make much of a difference.
Agree anything above 750 won't make much of a difference. They will then look at credit history more closely for overall credit worthiness.
I had the same and 1 month after I had my Credit Score having +30
I would make sure you don’t open up any new credit cards, miss payments or take on any new debt in the meantime though so your score doesn’t take any other hits.
Thanks for this reminder!
825 baby!! Interest rates set to fall though also soon!
Fwiw I just got approved for a mortgage (local lender) and our lender told us their cutoff for excellent credit was 760
Good to know! I better not drop a single point further 😂
The only thing I can think of is a missed <$100 doctors bill that simply slipped my mind and went into collections (I moved cities and all that recently, and missed the letter). If I have just paid this, how soon does your credit score go up again?
I don’t have much experience with credit scores / bad credit so appreciate you guys’ insights. Thanks!
Thanks, that’s useful to know!
Thanks so much guys! Looks like it wouldn’t make a difference, which is what I was hoping to hear.
Piggy backing on this post, I have a weird problem (came to US 2 years back only). My FICO rating is 790, Equifax is 760, and Transunion is 654. Which one is the correct rating?
