I can’t think properly for a brief that wants to join in on the conversation of what’s happening. I feel it’s inappropriate to do so, but my boss expects “creative” ideas from me. If I don’t deliver, I have a feeling I could get fired. How do you deal with this?

I have a concern about an ex co worker whom was fired at the beginning of the week for poor attendance. Before being fired she was harassing me constantly sending me paragraphs of why she was mad at me and then would come in hug me and kiss my cheeks and apologize & then do it again. I started at a new agency recently and feel like this phrase speaks volumes to their idea of work/life balance. Our time belongs to them and they give it back to us at their discretion.
