Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

Depends how you let it go. If you did the slow fade, then no. If you respectfully told them, maybe. Even if you told them and you're ready in a year, they still may not want you/respond/might say they only have opportunities in the office they have in your current city.
And it's a fair point on their side - moving across the country is one of those things you should know you're ready to do when you start an interview that requires it. They're taking a risk on you & you showed them you weren't serious about the move initially.
I think it depends - did they fly you out to interview ? if so - I think you’ve burned the bridge.
No fly out. Just two phone calls
I think you’re good but be prepared to explain why you’re ready. and there is always a chance they won’t be interested...
