I did the ultimate no-no today for HR and I feel absolutely horrible. And I have no idea why the words popped out of my mouth.
It's commission time and I saw a person that did well and I said "nice paycheck this week". There was one other person in the area that could hear.
Why oh why did I even open my mouth? I never talk about pay. Of course I went to upper management as soon as I got back but she had already complained. I apologized to management and I apologized to her. What more can I do?

I have now been asked to design an architecture for an upcoming project, and document it all. Nothing at this company has been well documented before. I have a feeling they just planning to use my previous experience and then let me go since my pay is high. Is there a way I can safeguard against this?

All offers are more or less equivalent in terms of compensation (though fixed & bonus are highest at Shell) - close to 27 LPA total CTC

Everyone who I want to like me or to hangout with doesn’t respond to my texts or tells me they are too busy. This weekend I reached out to 12 people to see if they wanted to grab coffee or a drink or go for a walk. The number of people who just didn’t respond astounded me. I ended up eating dinner in bed by myself and getting brunch on my own.
