I didn’t get my H1B last year so my company transferred me to London. I’m planning to stick it out here for the next 4-5 years till I make manager, after which I can come back on a L1A visa. What’s the L1->EB1C timeline like for Indian nationals?

Separately, my current hypothesis is that the upside to getting a UK ILR is limited. Am I wrong in thinking so? Would appreciate any advice here. Thanks!

At KPMG, was going to go up for M last year but it would have been a tad early (only 2.5 years at senior) so I decided to push it back to this year. This year, after talking about my business case since last summer, I was now just told I won’t even be given the opportunity to go up for M at all, with very weak reasoning. Hi! I recently switched to a new employer, who promised in writing on email that they’d start my GC process right after I complete 3 months with the firm. I’m currently on the 4th month and the process has not yet begun.
Please note that I have to give a couple of exams/certifications, one of which I failed very recently. This is keeping me from asking my employer about the GC process. Am I being irrational? Any advice or help would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

How long is the current wait time for H4-EAD? My company attorneys are filing my wife's EAD on her behalf but they are saying she would not be able to travel outside US as it will update her i-94 records and it may reault in denial. Is that true?
