Hi all,
I'm serving Notice period and last date shall be 13th May 2022. Can someone help me understand if the bands and compensation isn't release by that date, will that be adjusted in full and final settlement?? If so, what about the components, which all shall be credited in that FFS?
Thanks in advance.

Currently my wify's package is 7.5 LPA at Capgemini as SAP ABAP developer and with overall experience of around 5.5ys.She has cleared all technical rounds in Accenture and having HR round in next week.how much she should asks for package?why I'm asking this because she was selected to the same Accenture in 2019 and at that time she asked 80 percent hike and for that reason the profile was kept on hold and eventually joined Infosys at that time

Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

Contributing factor: the sudden death of over half a million Americans
535k of 700k COVId deaths in the us were age 65+
2019 labor force participation for age 65+ was 34%. 2020 was 34.2%, assuming I’m looking at the right stats.
I know a lot of people in big tech that have taken sabbaticals or left the corporate sphere to work on their passion projects full-time, or start their own business. I’m planning to quit and take a 3 month break because these past two years have taken a toll on me. I imagine this could be at least part of the reason for the shortages.
Yup I just quit a $500k TC job to take five weeks off

Maybe people realized life is short and there is more to it than work/money.
Good point about generational wealth. I hadn’t thought about that since I don’t have any.
I have seen a few people cash out to go “live their dream” but then they eventually end up working again. 🤷🏼♀️

Mismatch between years of experience required (too high) to pay (too low) in private. And ppl don’t want to take jobs that don’t offer wfh flexibility

I can understand that, but why now?

Labor supply and demand. The modern work expectations in America are insufferable and unsustainable, even in white collar work.
I have no sympathy for companies struggling to fill their rosters. That’s the market telling you either your expectations are too high, your salary/benefits are too low, or both. Adapt or die. It’s been long overdue for employees to have this leverage.
I’m guessing that the labor shortage is not helped by many company’s poor recruiting practices.
Anecdote: interviewed for about 5 jobs this year. Only amazon bothered to follow up afterwards (rejection). Wasn’t seriously looking so no big deal for me, but all the other jobs are still posted.
Either poor recruiting practices, or labor shortage in and around our industry isn’t that important.

People that were suddenly able to work from home relocated out of HCOL cities. This meant they were able to take less demanding jobs. Or in the case of dual career couples, one spouse might be able to leave the workforce completely.
A lot of people that didn't need the money for whatever reason decided the usual corporate b.s. wasn't worth it.
A lot of people left the labor force due to not having access to reliable childcare
New business starts are at an all time high. People realized life is short and don’t want to deal with bull they put up with in the past

So it sounds like people decided, since working from home, that they could start their own thing and it was better to be at home with their families than at some office where they don’t care about their company.
