I failed a 45-minute personality assessment for an investment analyst role because my answers weren't aggressive enough. Sorry that I prefer collaborative problem-solving. It’s wild that these companies are using junk-science psychological profiles to screen out candidates before a human even looks at a resume. Do you even bother with places that do these personality tests?

Hi all, negotiating with HR on salary for a new AS position and want to know what’s fair. I was an AE for two years, took a promotion at another agency for SAE for only 8 months and am now being recruited for AS at 80k. All of my agencies have been large, I’ve worked on pharma and a large global account, I also started “managing” at the AE level due to my team’s structure. Is $80k fair? Thanks!

Considering taking a position with a small-cap in the US trying to build their legal department. The title is standard “counsel” although the work would be with the senior leadership team and reporting to the GC in Europe. How reasonable is it to ask for a bump in title - Senior counsel or Head of Legal, US? Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.
