I recently moved from Mississippi to Florida and making new connections had definitely been a struggle, but I believe everything will work out for me and you.
A brand new location can be a challenge. Try looking at it as a new opportunity, and you get the chance to build something. Do you feel like it’s a good location for work? I relocated, but already had the job, so that aspect wasn’t as hard.

Unless there are 2 pediatric dentists who regularly comment in this bowl. I thought that you owned your own business. I might be mistaken, though, nevertheless, I think you would be able to eventually get a job. You may have to expand outside a pediatric, but if you own your own business and want to start a different one I think that a lot of places would benefit from having a specialty, pediatric dentistry business.
Regardless if anyone else feels this. It is a fact. You need connections to get you in the door. That being said go on LinkedIn and other platforms and you never know there might be a person who went to the same school as you and moved to the same place as you and once felt like you are feeling now 10 or 15 years ago. Keep applying and give it a shot but also private message that person in your network or that person who is a friend of a friend of your cousin’s that moved away 5 years ago and let them know you applied. It can’t hurt. It can only help. Good luck on your journey!

Networking can play a significant role in healthcare hiring. Local professional groups, conferences, and referrals often help people find opportunities in new locations.

I think that’s true in any profession really, not necessarily more so in healthcare.
