Amex people thoughts on this offer, as I have recently(4 months back) joined a startup with Base(33) and CTC(35.5) but not enjoying the work here. Amex brand tag and culture is good.
Hence, considering the offer, does this offer look good or is there any scope of improvement? Amex American Express
I want to build my career in analytics. I have offer from EY India, EXL and LatentView Analytics.
EY is more on the side of project management and process improvement in SaaS, as told. While there is hands-on in other two.

I have a possible opportunity at Protiviti. Coming from big4 and wondering if Protiviti has fairly similar perks. I’ve read the 2022 benefits guide and it gave a oddly low PTO count of 16 days. Is this true and what about a holiday disconnect in the December time period? Are there any other hidden perks that are awesome? Already heard WLB is better and the culture, but I feel like I’ve gotta find that out first hand. Protiviti

Definitely can leverage for a bump, but you have to be willing to leave. Couch it as, I really don't want to go, but I am having a hard time with the decision because it's such a boon to my/my family's financial well-being. You can try bluffing but you have to be ready for them to call you on it.
You also have to be someone they can't easily replace.
That helps thanks for the reply!
I would hate to have to do that, and I’ve always judged “those guys” but it is the times we are in. I am at GT and the only people that I’ve seen get big jumps like that are the ones that come in with other offers. I say go for it, sounds like too much money to leave on the table.
Ignored offer carries no weight. You lose all leverage. Use it or lose it.
The culture at the next place will be fine too, it’s not like it’ll be a team full of the worst people ever. Meet a few more people and feel it out before you say no. As for intangibles - you can replace them yourself and have more $$ in your pocket with an extra 40% in pay. Look out for yourself and your financial security first, the spot you’re at currently won’t do that if things ever go south. I agree you should absolutely leverage the offer, you’re clearly being underpaid and your firm is well aware of that. Market, besides just the bump to entice you to move, is clearly higher.
Thanks for the insight! Would you consider letting my current firm counter offer? I don’t often hear of that ending well.
