I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

Service design seems a popular role in consulting in the past year or so, certainly seeing more grads go down this route. Is there much overlap with business analysis? When I’ve worked with service designers the output seems to be another version of a process map, are there other skills and experience needed? This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? YoE - 15, Hands-on EM, can code, do project and people management
Tech - AWS and .NET

Also an indicative range of CTC I should ask for will be helpful. Currently I'm underpaid at 20.1L as I worked in the same company for 12 years.

3 YOE in Marketing through internships in college, followed by 2 years Financial Operations/Data Tools full-time. I got an offer for $75K at TekSystems for a Market Analyst role. I gave them a range of $70-75K, so they gave the max. But I am questioning asking for a bit more given insurance is apparently on the higher-end and I want to ensure I didn't low-ball myself.

Just to note, this is about a 25% increase compared to what I am currently making.
