How could you use the Rogue as a down payment if you don’t have equity in it?
VP - Some dealers will allow your lease equity to be used as a down payment on your next purchase or lease…But obvi gotta be at the same dealership. All depends on the lease agreement. Otherwise only way to use it would be to buy the car at end of lease and sell or trade it in.
Have you considered looking at cars that aren’t total shit? And why are you leasing these??? Even with 640 credit, what are you doing here? There is a much bigger fundamental question you need to be asking rather than leasing the biggest pieces of shit in the market. You shouldn’t be putting down payments on a lease either. Hunnie we got some work to do here.
What is the amount of money you have saved up for a downpayment right now and how much can you afford to spend monthly*? *While you should be basing the price of the car solely on the total value of the car and NOT what you want your monthly payments to be, we first have to understand you budget. You do NOT do with this with a salesman, you need to understand this for yourself before you even step foot into the dealership.
Once we understand your budget, we can look for cars within your budget. The car market is not what it was 2 years ago, and you can commonly find discounts off MSRP these days.
Then we look at cars within your budget and test drive them to make sure we like them. I know you’ve never test driven a car in your life if you’re in a Nissan Rogue.
Once we understand what cars we like, then we start getting bids from dealers in our area finding the best Out The Door (OTD) price.
It’s fine if you want a hybrid or electric car, but a Nissan Leaf is not what you want for $35k. Do some reach and don’t just buy Nissans bc that’s where you got your last car from
This sounds like harsh advice, but lean in here.
