I have a 30 minute interview with a director at pwc this week and another with a partner next week - anyone have insight on what I should expect? I don’t think it’s a case interview, so I’m thinking it’s more of a gut check on if I’d be someone they’d like to have on their team? So more behavioral and situational questions PwC

pwc’s interviewing strategy is VERY behavioral. or at least it was pre-pandemic. been a minute since i’ve been involved in the process. be prepared with experiential stories of how you contributed to creating important team dynamics, created new efficiencies, etc. but also if they’re breaking up layers of interviews like this just be prepared for an old school interview structure. be ready to flip it on it’s head and build a conversational rapport rather than only being responsive. ask as many questions as you’re asked like it’s a date. by the time you get to the partner it may be entirely cultural fit and then it’s your opportunity to challenge them too.
I had 4 (5?) interviews. They were all behavioral until the last one. PwC is very behavior focused
My interview with a partner had a brain teaser question. He asked something like how many cows are in the US. And he was generally more interested in my approach rather than numbers.
