I have a CSR that is... fine, now that I’m not traveling, but thinking about getting a cash back card for an upcoming kitchen reno. Is is better to try to rack up the CSR points, or can anyone recommend a good cash back card?

How much is the renovation.. a few thousand ?I would sign up for a new card with large SUB

You shouldn’t be using a CSR for non-bonus category spend to begin with. Get a Freedom Unlimited if you want to get more UR points or a Citi Double Cash back if you just want cash back (former has a higher ceiling of redemption but harder to hit that ceiling particularly with Covid constraints on travel)

I have been searching for a travel card for months. I am a young guy who is looking to take advantage of credit and earn points at the same time. Cap One just released an interesting new premium travel card with a lot of seemingly good perks (Venture X). I also looked at the CSP and the Southwest Priority card. My girlfriends family has Southwest and swear by it, with companion pass being the differentiator. I am in the DMV area and have mostly flown Jet Blue or Southwest. Any thoughts on this?

I'm early in my career, managed to save $30K to invest, and want to get my hands dirty with a rental property without too much risk (e.g. no HML/flipping). It sounds like that's a tall order in the NY/CT area given the prices, not to mention whether I'd be able to get a mortgage on anything below $100K, but I figure I'll give it a shot anyway. Any advice on what you might do in my position? Am I being crazy with this idea?

Car question: is it common/easy to extend a lease? Mine is up next month and I don’t want to get into a new lease when I’m wfh for the foreseeable future. Not sure if dealers would consider this favorable for them, or if I have any leverage to renegotiate price. Or is this is even an option.

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?
