Also have ADHD, first are you medicated? If not, highly recommend exploring. Second, I find I thrive in variability, strategic situations and sales because I’m very extraverted and enjoy the ambiguity of roles. I’m not sure what you do for work, I’m a CPA and moved to consulting years ago and find it to be a much better fit. Usually tight deadlines, lots of ambiguity and constantly changing. This fits directly with my adhd strengths—performing under pressure, creative and variety of work.
Find a job that always keeps you challenged. Consulting helps because projects vary… start ups are also always changing. You need to find a fast paced environment. Good luck.
Startups and consulting could be good options to explore due to their dynamic environment. Another thing that helps me in moments like this is trying to understand what made me off and work it out. Therapy and medication are also game-changers.
This is me to a T. I start a new job and within weeks, sometimes months I am bored and looking for a new role. I wish I had some solid advice for you but my advice would be to start looking for something new. That is what I did until i landed a job that I love where I am rarely bored.
