Starting the interview process at a competitor and the people I will be interviewing with know my current team members just from being in the industry and I think some even used to work together. Does it go without being said that the people I am interviewing with won’t say anything to my current team members or should I be concerned about this?

I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am taking some time off before starting a new position with employer B in mid January but their insurance wouldn’t be effective until 2/1.
