I have an offer for an SC role doing tech implementation at Deloitte. I’m a bit unsure if I should accept because I’ve only been building my technical skills for a little over 1.5 years but have another 5.5 years of unrelated consulting experience. I’ve talked to several people and it seems pretty split with some saying it’s not a huge deal and others saying it’d be much more of a grind. Anyone been in a similar position before? How’d it go?

1: EY - FDD, home city, very good $$ for FDD

2: PwC - post-merger integration, DDV team (essentially M&A Consulting) - bigger city, always been keen to move

Coming as a Senior in Audit, with recent FDD exposure (2 deals, obviously not much). I was looking for something more than just number crunching, wanting a mix of quant / quali / strategic work. M&A Advisory or a Corp Strategy role is where I'm looking to end up long term.
