I have an offer from a big pharma company that requires in office with a time requirement 4x a week. I would have to be in office by 8:00 am and leave at 6:30 pm. It seems a bit crazy to me to have a time requirement but wanted to get others thoughts. Comp is high and HCOL.

8 to 6:30 4 days a week?? Absolutely not

Yeah no. And what is “high comp”? - I am in pharma and my hours are nothing like this and I have “high comp”.

Unless its over 500k....thats a no for me dawg

I feel like that speaks to bigger cultural problems… even law firms aren’t this crazy

Yea the 4x in office is bad enough but they dictate your hours you need to be in? What is this kindergarten?

I need advice. I met an amazing guy on a dating app. We talked for 4 months and most of the convo was sexual. I fell so hard for him and it was because when we met up in person he was so kind, caring, and respectful towards me. He never initiated conversation with me first, but if I messaged him, he would respond back immediately. Then after 4 months he ghosted me on the app we were talking on. I texted him and he told me he had a gf. I am completely heartbroken. What kind of behavior was this?

Received the offer from EY for M role, on call and email on Wednesday and also received a mail from the partner about it. Told them I will be accepting the offer. Had another offer & already received their contract , now I don't want to say no to the other firm before I sign the contract with EY. Which I am being told will only be ready next week. What is your experience after getting a confirmation on mail, how long could it take ?

Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months).
