I got offers from Tata Consultancy - 18 fixed+4.3 VP
Birlasoft - 25L agreed on initial call. HR round pending.
Tech:Mainframe, YOE: 11.5
15 days notice left.
TCS asking for joining confirmation within 3 days.
Is it worth rejecting TCS, for 10% more package from birlasoft.
TCS better on:
Health insurance
More Yearly leaves
No relocation
No shifts
Birlasoft better on:
More package
May get joining bonus.
Help me decide which one to choose?

First i will suggest ,always have a counter offer.
Second, its better to rest few more days or week, rather than joining on low salary expectations. Instead utilize that time to add some weight to your resume.

I was laid off last year August. It's very shocking and I know the feel. As the Tietoevry person mentioned I told the HRs that no company accepts 3 months notice and all want immediate joiners. No one questioned me further. Never reveal anyone that you were fired. Not even to family and friends. Dont go for low salary. Keep on up skill and try it in linkedin. You will get job soon. Dont loose hope. All the best bro.

It is completely okay as they know current market scenario. Regarding salary expect as per market standards.
Just say that notice period was quite long so no company was approaching for any role.
Give the interview by saying 30days NP,
After selection say them that now my Manager and HR is saying policy changed and now they asking me server for 90 days if they really requires then they will wait for u Or else try the same for another company

Tell you wanted a break to regroup and revisit career path. Now you feel are ready to take up new challenges, mention that during your break you did things to upskill yourself and quote examples, could be mentoring someone as well. It's human to have feelings and emotions, not a sin to take a break. If they don't understand you, not worth to join such an org 😀
Then you should focus on your career like upgrading your skills, build strong resume like the recruiters should negotiate, for your salary.

Being a recruiter myself I can tell you this isn't common. Layoffs have become common nowadays, unfortunately. Most of the Recruiters will empathise with your situation.
I would recommend being upfront about this v/s giving other reasons - if they are decreasing the salary offer, you are free to say no to the offer
This will save you from being cross-questioned.
It's best not to with-hold this information because layoffs are not something you can control.

For suppose, The company underwent a significant restructuring, which unfortunately resulted in many positions being eliminated, including mine. This change was purely due to business strategy and not a reflection of my performance.
Too many layoff was due to industry-wide downturns or economic conditions.
For suppose The industry faced an unexpected downturn, and my previous employer had to make some tough decisions. My position was impacted as a result of these broader economic challenges.
You should tell that you have an offer and wouldnt be able to disclose the employer at the moment. Or say It is in pipeline.
Reason to resign can be the current job role and responibilities do not align with my career aspirations anymore and I would like to explore more challenging opportunities.
I did resign without any offer a month ago and got my offer released yesterday only.
You can say you have offer letter,even if you dont have.
When they ask you for,say you cant share due to confidentiality. I jave did this many times 😂.

Just tell you got the offer but that offer was revoked by the company before joining.
Ask them for valid reason for revoking and if they don't have reason that means now they don't want you to join them

You can give reason like relocation to different site which you can't due to family commitments and started looking out for options..
It's not the HR concern to know if you have put down the paper without any offer..
Don't tell them it's laid Off just say process is ramping down..if you say laid Off then they will not consider
