Hi Fishes,
Does Deloitte USI have any cool down period, if you apply and do not get any response from the company? I had previously applied in a role, but didn't hear back from them. So, I'm planning to try to apply via referral this time and I'm wondering if I should use the same e-mail ID or a different one! Deloitte USI

First i will suggest ,always have a counter offer.
Second, its better to rest few more days or week, rather than joining on low salary expectations. Instead utilize that time to add some weight to your resume.
Yes I was also thinking of same, thank you for reassuring my doubt
I was laid off last year August. It's very shocking and I know the feel. As the Tietoevry person mentioned I told the HRs that no company accepts 3 months notice and all want immediate joiners. No one questioned me further. Never reveal anyone that you were fired. Not even to family and friends. Dont go for low salary. Keep on up skill and try it in linkedin. You will get job soon. Dont loose hope. All the best bro.
@OP I hope you got another job and feeling relaxed.
Tell them there were layoffs and some of the team members were randomly removed.. And lot of high performing people were also laid off. That is the best reason.. Don't fight with the HR.
simple answer would be 'for a change'
Provide then with Justification like working on a Startup, Create a Dummy Website for your Startup.
Agar Paper nahi daale hain aur dicey situation hai to join new company, thats it. Abscondfrom current company. Hopeless mat ho just grab the opportunity. Neta Ban
Only demerit is that you mayl not be able rejoin your current company again( that is also not 100% sure, depends on situation).
Koi company tujhe bondage labour ki tarah nahi rakh sakti and also they will not take any action.
Because company change their policy 100 times/year without employee's consent.
Agar jyada chu chapad kare to HR ko legal notice bhej diyo... 1000-1500 mai Vakeel ye kaam kar dega.
Kuch nahi rok sakti company

Its okk… be yourself… just dont lie… the time going on is already worst… have patience till it settles down. Anyways there are very less calls or even there are calls, the interviews are hardly happening!
Hence dont get dishearten. Keep learning and growing till then! Prepare urself for the right time, it will happen for sure 🙃
If there has been a gap of near about a month, you can say that you wanted to take a break before getting into a new organization.
What is your tech stack and yoe?
I am also looking for job in Web development Php lead, node ,Aem
I actually resigned before getting offer. I used to give them a genuine reason, usually I mentioned that my notice period was too long (90 days in TCS) and I wanted to make a transition. But because of the long notice I didn't get enough interview opportunity. I had faith that given a chance, I can crack the interview. So I had to put down my paper first. It worked for me I hope it'll help you. All the best!
"My company underwent a major restructuring due to global economic conditions and my role was impacted due to cost cutting. However company offered internal opportunities but they were not aligned with my goals and aspirations. Hence I decided to look outside of my company. "
I would say go both ways. Lie to some companies and tell truth to others. Lie to the ones you really want to work for or at least are sure you would get offer from - e.g Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. HRs of these companies would be least interested in your reason, just make sure you lie with confidence and believe yourself that that was the reason you left. Get at least one offer from such companies. Then there would be companies which would really be more empathetic and practical about the current scenario. Of course, it would be hard to guess which ones would be the ones to trust with your truth. So, you can start with SMEs and prepare your answer in such way that you are acknowledging that you need to improve and not complaining about the whole "being laid off" scenario which shows how you handle such situations.
Once you get your first offer and here's the most important part, never accept a joining date within a week or two try making delays from your end. Tell them you have some medical emergency or family thing to attend, something which came without prior notice and you need to cater to that first. Basically by doing so buy your time and then try to get offers from others by telling them that they have 1 or 2 weeks only to do all the processes as you already have one offer at hand. And then you can eventually decide which one to go with.
P.S. in this scenario you never really have an upperhand when it comes to salary negotiations, unless of course, you find some investment banking or a startup which is ready to pay based on the role they are hiring and comparatively you are currently being paid less.
And as per my experience job market is getting a bit better than it was 3 4 months back so if you have great and relevant skills and experience you should not face issues.
I have been laid off a month before. The HR didn't even had a valid reason to provide. When I say I am an immediate joiner, they ask about my notice period and when I give the past date the recruiter asks why have you put down paper without offer. How can I tackle this ? I do not want to lose a good opportunity bcz of this. Please help me with how I can handle this during HR/Recruiter calls.

Leave the health issue excuses to the one who are really affected by it, don't want to take advantage of it. And don't want any more negative suggestions like toxic work culture. It should be something which will create a positive vibe in both end :)
Just say you resigned because you wanted to reduce the notice period days
Be True.
You can say looking for good opportunity and want take some rest before starting new job journey.
Same here due to office politics and toxic work culture I had done same, now I am immediate joiner for Tech lead or Senior engineer profile.
If any one having reference then please share
You can say you resigned because you were confident of getting new job offer before LWD. And then say looks like I miscalculated the job market condition.
You should be smart enough to manipulate them....There are lot of smart excuse you can give to them
Even I am in the same situation and don't know how to tackle this.
You can say you took sabatical since you had some health issues or your parents had some health issues and you need to take care of them. Sabatical for mid-level is common. So that should not be problem they cant ask more question if you say your parents need your attention. I was currently in the same state I am using this as a buyout. We need to be smart because recruiters will not take chance remember this.
You can simply say that your assignments(project work) were over 2 months back
If further asked------ you were waiting for next assignments , you tried working with your manager for another assignments, but there were not much requirement and there were some short term requirement on a completely different tech stack.
You were not comfortable adapting a completely new tech stack and at that moment you made a decision to quit after discussion with Manager.
