I have been offer a job at a medium sized CPG Company. The offer is 150k w/20% annual bonus but would require relocating my family from east coast to a larger midwestern city. It would be a lot closer to family with the new job. The company initially offered 10k lump sum for relocation but after a counter offer they increased to 18k, which still seems low to me after taxes. We’re getting a quote from a moving company to get a baseline. My current company is pretty good.

I asked for a raise in April 2022 after three years with my company. Positive feedback since day one. Learned I was making less than peers at other asset managers in NYC with less experience (14 years). Latest conversation was with HR about how they calculate salaries. Initially interview was for I grade in fund accounting. After documentation hr said they r hiring me for h grade I get ready for that too with offer of 12 lakh. But all of sudden hr is saying she is not confirm whether I'll get offer or not. They are bluffing all around to giving my offer. What should I do now

After being mugged and having my things (including my keys) stolen, I was locked out of my townhome after business hours on a weekend. I was told on the phone when dialing my complex’s after hours number (which is managed by a 3rd party company) that my complex’s policy would let me in for a cost of $100 (as it was after hours). After I was let in, property manager informed me the charge was $200. Is there anything I can do here? This is in Minnesota. Help appreciated!!

How do relocations work when they're delayed?

My job advised me in July that I was approved to be relocated and promoted.

They told me a week before my move date that they are pushing my move back TWO MONTHS.
I explained that I have no place to stay or to store my things because I was planning on being in our new location. I was told that they were NOT going to assist me with living arrangements and that I should find a second job to help hold me over until the move.

Does anyone have advice for becoming an expat? I want to move to France or Spain. I have a media relations and public affairs background. I’ve never really known how I can apply and be seriously considered from US.

Decided to move out of state after this school year for my kids. I have a good job and a good boss. I don’t want to just drop a two weeks notice because relocating my whole family has obviously taken some time to plan.
