How do your students qualify for receiving O-G?
How do you determine if they don't need it any more?
For example, at our school, our students receive extra help with reading when they show they struggle to read a grade -level passage with fluency. O-G would be used as one of a variety of programs/strategies we choose from, as soon as teachers are trained for it.
While students are in a group for that extra help, they read a short passage once a week (or once every two weeks) to show they are learning to apply the new skills when they read. They are exited from the group once they show they can do that for a certain number of weeks.
