I have got that Thursday vibe when you’re not sure if you should push through or start winding down. Anyone else already in ‘weekend mode’?

I'm always in weekend mode.

When I tell you I read this and felt it in my soul. I am just not feeling the rest of the week and if I wasn't working a solo 12 hour shift overnight tomorrow then I would definitely call out. I really just cannot wait for the weekend to get here. It has been a really long week OP.

Thursday is Friday Eve 😄

If you start as a Program Manager, how/when do you begin to advise people as a people lead? I’ve heard Program Managers are not people leads. I started lead a team of 3 about a month ago at my current job and don’t want to lose leadership experience but have been told my YOE would map to a Program Manager level at Google.

Did yall hear about the Chicago mom who had her kid taken away because she wouldn't accept that her child was transgender? As a parent, that's actually kind of scary that the government would that with no basis of abuse or neglect. Smh

Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). It has become quite the burden.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
