If you are planning to join infy for money trust me deloitte will give you enough hike to compensate over the years, but WLB is something deloitte is bad at

50% variable?? Are you sure buddy?? That means your fixed component is just 10 LPA. 🤔
Even my fixed component is more than you at Infy and I am half your YOE. 🙄
I am sure there is something wrong. Please check with the Infy HR.
And if this is true, then ofcourse go with Deloitte. No second thoughts.
Not sure why Deloitte HR is asking for entire letter when anyone can easily understand how an Infy offer looks like as it has something very unique called as "Basket of Alloewnces"😅
Nope, I will suggest just share the salary breakup and convince them that you cannot share complete offer letter of another firm as it is a non disclosure agreement
If she is having doubts that you are bluffing, then Setup teams or webex meeting. Share your screen and scroll thru the offer. Then send only the break up.

I think you should look for other options too.. based on your YOE, you can negotiate for a lot more in my opinion..
Go with deloitte. Year over year the hike is much higher than infosys

50% variable.. what's the position that Infy is offering
I have gotten an offer from Infosys BPM with 15% variable. How much % of the variable can I expect to get? And, on what factors is it dependent?
He might have erred while writing 50% variable
He might have got level 5 which means 15 percent variable which is payable quarterly.
General payout is 60-70 percent
With a package of 20l infy never gives 50 percentage variable of CTC.

Share the offer letter... at your YOE.. Deloitte will match it with Infy.. push for a better offer though
At Infy, the hikes are very less and variable pay is also not that great. And forget about promotion as the level you are joining in, it's very difficult to move up from there. With your experience, this isn't the ideal position anyway. I would suggest to join Deloitte instead of Infy.
I will suggest to go with Deliotee, my friends also has same pkg 20 lakh and he is getting 75k monthly which is less than his last company monthly salary which he was getting 1 lakh😀. Or ask Infy HR to reduce the variable to 10℅.

I was in a simile scenario .. from TCS .. had a Deloitte offer ..
Without doubt , I can suggest Deloitte USI is much better in work culture and over all benefits ..
TCS & Infosys aren’t very different … be it culture or work .. hence while overall salary seems higher in Infosys .. it’s actually Deloitte that is paying you higher fixed and also usually everyone gets 100% of veritable ( barring events like CoVid year , then also Deloitte USI made it up giving bonus next year ) ..
Hence can suggest .. go ahead and don’t get lost ..

Why do they want somebody else's offer? Can't they offer what is fit based on richness of your experiences, skills and performance in their evaluation ? You need no recruiting skill to match another company's offer. And if this is what everyone does then why do most HR kewp cribbing about people ahopping around for offers and such people generally considered as greedy by many ?

With 50% variable, the figure looks only good on paper, basically you get half of it so the fixed comp will be same as Deloitte and bonus will be great in Deloitte, hike as well! Hope that helps !!

You can send the compensation part and the starting part of the offer letter, it’s a standard ask from HR if you are asking for counter offer

See, in general yes that’s confidential but it depends on the Organisation level that they ask. Till April FAANG doesn’t used to ask about counter offer name/evidence but some of my friends in Bay area told that now Everyone from Google to Amazon is asking evidence, so now you need to show at any cost otherwise they will not be able to offer you.
