KPMG is fishy. I've worked with them and I don't like it. KPMG will be the next big firm to fall.
I have heard KPMG Dallas culture is extremely toxic. As a second year I was making 61k. And PWC is 3 busy seasons to get promoted to senior. Hope that helps. Dallas is a great city!
Worked at PwC dallas for a few years. Awesome people. Lots of boozing. Plenty of opportunity. Huge clients. Left as an A3 making 64k
RSM Dallas has a lot of great people (I’m partially biased). But I have noticed most employees stay longer than the normal 2-3 years that public accounting in known for if that says anything. As an experience associate, you’ll make about 60k and then there’s a pretty decent raise to senior (year 3)
@PwC 1 I have 2 years of audit experience and 2 years of financial reporting experience from a Fortune 500 company. Audit experience is from a mid-tier regional firm
Starting in January will probably be tough to get promoted at any of them. If your good, you would have a real shot at December 2019 promotion at PwC. Not sure if the other firms do mid year promotions or not
Pwc or rsm. You can promote up quickly if competent at rsm. Pwc is more do your time. Pwc if you want public company audit experience vs mid size private companies. Depends on career aspirations.
@EY 1, yes i have my CPA license
@Consultant 1 and SA 1, when you say toxic, are you referring to stress, work life balance, bad managers?
To add, you don’t mind the long hours with a great team one bit, but they can drain the life out of you on a toxic team
