Shotscope. Lower equipment cost and no subscription. Love mine!
Shot scope is better and cheaper. Loved my shot scope. I moved to Garmin and regret it, the data and insights are 5% of what shit scope offered.
I think things like this are a gimmick. Save the money and spend it on things like lessons and practicing. That’s the only way to get better in my experience. I probably play 50+ rounds a year and also spend a lot of time in simulator. Simulator is fine and keeps me from getting “rusty” in the winter, but I’m not convinced it has made me any better. It does give me a place to practice things I’ve worked on with my coach so in that sense it helps (I tend to take more lessons through winter months when I have time to work on changes).
FWIW my index is ~ +2.
Agree with this. I was an 18 and tried many gimmicks, YouTube videos, etc. It wasn’t until I finally did lessons that I actually improved. As a weekend golfer in 2 years of lessons I’m now a 7.
No good player uses arcos
I use the Garmin sensors with my Fenix watch (no annual subscription); very similar to Arccos. Really only use the setup for activity tracking and average club distances. Rarely look at the data or get anything out of it. Mostly like looking at how adventurous things got during the round (e.g. 2 fairways over).
Looked into switching to Arccos, but haven’t figured out if more data/features would be worth it. Started out last season as a 16.6, ballooned to 18.8, and finished as a 13.9. Not sure how much data (knowing my distances) played into lowering my index or if it was purely just from volume of rounds played.
