Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Having gone through this before and using the wait and see option, I’d advise against that. How is your relationship with your partner? Life happens, and most of the partners are understanding of that. You have a good reason to move, and you also have a good reason for not knowing where you will land. If you have an idea of a couple cities you’ll potentially land, talk to your partner and see if they have connections in those offices. Transparency and flexibility help you out here, and your partner will be able to help out more if they are given the time.
a little bit late. And with busy season approaching I likely will take more clients, which will make the future transfer more complicated as I have to work on clients for both my old group and new group. Don’t want to burn any bridge...
Any tips?

A lot can happen between now and March/April. I’d tell when there’s actually something concrete to say, likely in March.
A transfer isn’t the only option. You can always get a new job outright, in a new city, which usually doesn’t take as long as transferring.
If you have to move because of your spouse, I don’t think anyone would be angry at your timing. It is what it is.
Unfortunately we are not US citizens so if I change employer it would complicate a lot of things. But I appreciate your input!
I had the same situation when my husband applied to business schools..sit tight and ask for the transfer when you know where you are landing.
I mean we’ll all be working remotely anyway. You can tell them you want to transfer offices when you know for sure and just continue to work on your current clients remotely.
Maybe see if they will let you work 100% remote... atleast until you know where you are living
