The last time I shared something personal with a coworker, it backfired, and it became the talk of the office. Never repeated that mistake, even after I moved to another company. And so far, only good things have come out of that.
yes, you may share silly stories and anecdotes, but never ever share anything too personal, secret, or private to your co worker. It might backfire. This is also why people say "don't shit where you eat".
Absolutely not. Don’t even disclose disability to HR if you need accommodations. Anything you say can and will be used to get rid of you.
Some try to mask it as water cooler talk, expecting others to tune out even if it's loud enough for the whole office. I mean excuse me for hearing you blast your life story on max volume

So, I'm really curious to know what the topics were.
Probably don’t care - many people overshare and are fine with it.
This sounds like pre-COVID office activity, LOL! I love it!!

Oversharing makes me so uncomfortable in an office environment but some people really just need to vent and the office is the only place for it… if it’s not inappropriate though it doesn’t really matter. I can see it affecting peoples potential in the company though.
