Career wise - what would be best? A change management role at Crowe working government software upgrades Or Change Management role at a name brand childcare company? The culture fit at childcare company is amazing.. remote, unlimited PTO Crowe , I'm not sure since it's working with government.

Hahaha I wish
Organize from the matter of importance, also check with the person who was covering (if that was an option).
From there, block off time in the morning or afternoon to go through a certain amount of emails each day.
Coach
A block is a great idea! And sorting
Only 200?! I get about that many in 1 day. And this is not me trying to one up or brag...more shocked because wtf is my agency doing 😭😭😭😭
Coach
You need an executive assistant!! My VP has one and it has made her and all of our lives easier :)
Sort your inbox by subject so all the related emails are grouped together. That way you can bulk delete the ones you don’t need and quickly go through the ones that do matter.
They’re likely not all for you. Maybe 5 have an explicit ask and the rest can be deleted.
Coach
Yes lots of chains of replies
Yes - don’t take PTO

I check in with anyone covering for me to know what I don’t need to bother with.
Respond to the email from the last 24 hours and then pretend you didn’t see the ones from before that. If it’s important people will re-email you I’ll let you know.

Block off your calendar to get ‘caught up’. I’m trying to get to inbox zero. So it’s either delete, reply or schedule time to complete the task.

Great idea

Another tip to try to keep the catch up minimal next time is put who to contact for your responsibilities while you are out. This usually works for me for internal stuff, but not anything client or vendor facing.

I put my manager down but I think she was too busy…
Yikes, that is a lot of emails. I have come back to that many and then some before though. I would definitely just filter thorugh them and address the most important ones first.
Coach
I’m still getting through them but I did tackle most important!

I am very curious on how many emails I get a day and how many I actually take action on. Anyone know any tools for this? Like a personal productivity dashboard.
