Anyone from Code Vyasa?
A great one by iopsychmemes!

Hi all, Recently i interviewed at Adobe for the post of computer scientist, Noida location. Had 5 technical rounds, but after that i didnt get any further response. One of HR called me and asked me to wait for a day or 2 last week, she gave me the reason that there are some issues going on in company. It's been 2 weeks now and i haven't got any response from them, i have been following up on mail and call, but there is no response either. What could be the reason ?? Any adobe folk out there ??

Tell the partners you’ll be out and need coverage. They should be able to assist with staffing. If the deals were scheduled to close sooner, it’s likely they’ll coast to the finish line. You still have plenty of time to tee things up (have docs signed early and hold in escrow, finalize whatever you can, alert the clients and start looping in your backup attorneys). Would your clients cancel their trips to make these closings? No. Monitor your emails, but take your vacation.
Might want to make sure the cabin has wifi or at least cell service in case anyone needs to reach you.
Agree, talk to partners now. More likely than not, they aren’t going to close on their new timelines either. But I remember going on my already-planned vacation when I was an associate running an IPO literally during pricing and it was fine - made sure everything was lined up and under control before I left. Worst part was having to share the glory haha
Great answers above, I just came to say: why does it always have to be that way? Deals don’t close unless someone critical has time off.
Suck it up.
Just kidding. Agree with the others here generally. But also, and this would for sure be frowned upon, but time kills all deals. More time means more likelihood they won’t happen. Maybe wait a week or two
You will 100% regret not prioritizing life over work in this situation. Make sure things are set up ahead of time, but don’t think twice about taking your vacation.
If the firm is really, truly unable to accommodate your request that has (1) been planned a year in advance and (2) has been communicated to them in advance, then you might want to look for a new firm. Just my two cents.
Communicate earlier rather than later and find juniors to cover for you. As the others mentioned, talk to partners and make sure they’re aware.
