I just moved to the US to be closer to my spouse’s family and I’m looking for a job. Most of the jobs I see listing benefits only advertise 10 vacation days. This isn’t enough time off to cover observing my religious holidays. Are companies usually accommodating if I needed extra time off for those or are they strict about it? Do I need to discuss this during negotiations or will it negatively affect my chance of an offer?

Today I got an offer from Accenture. Doj is 6th March. Currently I am pregnant. I just want to know what is the minimum service days in Accenture to avail the maternity leave.

I’ve been practicing in traditional labor for about two years now (although about a decade of labor relations experience) but I’m trying to break into employee benefits law. I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. Im a pastry cook with 4yrs experience and the average salary start for this position is now at $22/hr here in vegas, especially in the strip. But cooking/baking is not my passion. So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low?? Something needs to change. Labor of love aint enough for the people in this job.

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me.
