I just switched practice groups a few months ago, having left a particularly toxic very senior partner who heavily relied on me for all kinds of things yet who ruined BD opportunities because they only wanted me to work for them. Just found out that she may have lost a fairly major client because she didn’t handle a pretty significant matter for them correctly and it would have been my problem had I not left. Karma is real.

I have a question for my fellow PI paralegals in Texas. TPCIGA requires that we submit all medical bills through the clients insurance before proceeding further. The client in question has Aetna. I sent the bills with a cover letter to Aetna via certified mail. I am having so much trouble getting a status on said claim. Does anyone here have experience with that and can assist me? I joined Accenture few days back as level 9. Till now didn't get any project. I have one more offer from another company and have not told them that I joined Accenture.

Lesson learnt:

What is a typical team structure at MBB for a large corporate strategy project ? For example, portfolio review and growth strategy for group of 3-5 businesses on public holding company. Would that be team of 5? Team of 10? And how involved are partners on a project like that (e.g., more a member of team or more a stakeholder)?

At some point, in just about every project I’ve ever worked on, I’ve been asked to show that an idea can extend into an activation instead of just film or print/OOH. But why do so many of the WK or Drogas seem to primarily only do film and print? I’m sure they do some activations but from what I can tell, it seems like a large majority get famous by just film and print brand work.

I had a hectic last three months working up to 16 hours a day due to my project. During this time I took advantage of convenient food which isn’t always the best. Now that things have died down I am having trouble switching from the less convenient food, snaking more than I should and not being as active as I was during the three months previously. I am signing an offer this week at a different consulting firm, but want to stick it out through my project at my current firm over the next month. (Actually really enjoy the project just think the other firm is a better fit).

One of my top talents just put in his two weeks notice and I had nothing to offer him to stay. I told upper management this was going to happen! I’ve spent months asking for a promotion for him, trying to push his career forward and got no traction. I know i did my best. He knows i tried. My remit quadrupled+ in a recent re-org with no increase in pay/promotion, my new director is new to the company and was zero help, and I was passed over for recent promotion during the comp cycle. How many firms is too many? I’ve practiced 13 years. Since I was a 1st year associate, every 3 years or so I’ve been recruited for another opportunity that is hard to pass up.
