I feel burnt out by how ruthless the tech industry in US is, but I also know I’m making much more money than people outside of tech or consulting.

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. My manager says it isn’t my problem as they are a vendor but I can’t help thinking I have an ethical responsibility to do something. Any advice as to how to approach this without being fired?

I got a covid drive thru test in July and now the medical provider sent me a $700 bill for that and my Uhc insurance has rejected this.
