How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

I have been in the field for over a decade now and this is the 3rd time I've found myself unexpectedly unemployed. I have been searching for almost 9 months now and have had a relatively good number of interviews but nothing has stuck. You've gotta keep at it. I would also suggest fostering a relationship with at least 1-2 recruiters. Sometimes the temp positions can convert to full-time and their experience can help you improve your resume.
If you have only been applying for weeks I would level set your expectations as well. Sometimes it can take companies weeks to contact you for an interview.
This is also a good point. Municipal jobs, for example, generally have required application acceptance windows (sometimes 1-2 months) and they don't even start looking at resumes until after that window closes.
There are too many of us. The job market is stagnate. Employers know this and want to put you through 5, 6 interviews. Competition is hard. I have been doing this for 20 years, I have never seen this before in this field.
Same experience. I am beginning to feel hopeless
I searched for work for more than two years. My job at that point was sending resumes. I was so desperate I applied to anything I thought I could do … data entry, sales, admin, anything that said entry level … nothing! And this is despite being a credentialed CPA. Tax is not a dream job because every beginning of the year until April 15, it feels miserable, but I’d rather have work than not. Get it on your resume. Try applying at H&R Block or TurboTax even for peanuts just to learn. It will be a game changer. At least for me it was.
Market is tough across the board, including accountants of all levels of seniority. Best of luck in your search, keep applying.
It could be the geographic location, too! Some areas are going to have different demand than what the national trends represent. Wish you the best.
