I had raised queries to payrole and they have replied with a suggestion to think twice before opting for this benifit.
What do you all suggest, who have already opted for it?Accenture

The doctor I am an assistant to said no one respects doctors anymore. They’ve become caterers. Broke my heart when he said that.
I know every doctor is different but there are the basic two. The one who already had the ego just needed the license to go with it, and the other who spend most of their day listening, and educating, and figuring out the best answer for that problem. Im very lucky that my doctor is of the latter. He is from a small (very small) town in Southern In. He went to a medical school that was close, because with his grades, he could have went wherever he choose, and he choose a school a few hours away from home. Graduated, moved home, has a thriving business with a beautiful wife and two little kids, and his two BIG vacations a year are one for his family, and the other, of course, is Doctors without Borders. I have told that man probably 50 times how much I respect him and thank him for everything he has done for me.
The overall structure of the healthcare system. It’s not about healthcare anymore.
You could have not said something more true than what you said about nursing management. That will be one thing I will enjoy. When I take my first administrators job and find 2 or 3 nursing supervisors that Ive "dealt" with in the past, I will be nothing but fair, but im not going to have the lowest nurse on the supervisor pole having the on call phone all week and every 3rd weekend. No,no. Everyone gets to take their turn. I called in one Sunday night, not like me, but the on call nursing supervisor told me, "I dont know what you want me to do, Im eating dinner with my family!" I couldnt believe what I had just heard, so I took a breath, swallowed, and said, I guess you need to get a Glad-lock container and head on in, because Im not coming.
The hospitals that keep boarding patients in the ED sometimes for days because they won’t hire enough staff/travelers for the floors. Forcing staff to not only treat ED patients, many of whom are critical, but also take care of admitted patients. This causes hours of no throughput….decreasing patient satisfaction!! And putting lives at risk. Not to mention professional’s licenses!!
Just passing my HFA license I dont have a lot of experience on the administrators side of things, but I did spend over a thousand hours following one around and the facility in general and I have to say pharmacy reps? What? Really? Have a bachelors in anything and you can be one to. What happens when their are questions that a pharmacist should be asking. Moa? Pregnancy scale? Black box usage? Kidneys or liver? Half life? I just get a little annoyed at SOME, not all, of the reps. Especially when they are 25, blonde, plastic surgery, driving a BMW, and living in a 700,000 house. (I have a friend, to the T). And the only education they have is a bachelors from a 2 year school that has 3 bachelors degree, one being psychology.
Sorry. Frustrates me. Oh, and administrators that dont seem to ever have anything going on. The one who trained me had a regional corporate trainer that pretty much fixed all her mess ups. Could a real live, hard working administrator tell me what they do? Im not being funny. Even though I passed, I dont feel comfortable taking a job doing that yet. I asked my new admin if I could shadow her for a few months and she ended up having enough people in her facility that she needs an assistant administrator. So I get the training and better pay. So that was pretty cool. Alright. Next person?
MEdical billing for sure, it makes it very very difficult to get quality healthcare
Insurance companies. It is so difficult to get approvals for needed medical procedures. So many hoops to jump through. I get so frustrated when I am working on behalf of my patients.
I have to say Insurance folks. They are often bogged down by bureaucracy and red tape. This can make it difficult for them to approve claims and to provide patients with the coverage they need. It's frustrating for both the patients and the health information administrators who are trying to help them
