It’s Friday 🙌🏾 Any big Labor Day plans?
Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

There has got to be a better balance. Losing Sunday afternoons every week is not sustainable. Especially in some of the more rural locations with no direct flights. I'm alternating Sunday/Monday travel. Mother's Day I won't be flying out until Monday morning for sure, idgaf if I can't get in until 3 pm. Mom >>> Job.
it's great for your health not to wake up so early and less disruptive to a daily routine. Also, depending on your destination, it's just not possible to get there until Monday afternoon - which good luck trying to avoid any negative connotations. Plus more Marriott points, duh.
I have no issue taking an 8pm flight Sunday night, but I love to sleep in!
I liked it, came in on Sunday and out on Thursday, found it reduced my stress , but you need to find your balance
I think it's great if you are single. Makes for a more balanced Monday
It's nice for me, a quick 1.5 hour flight Sunday night, st the client for 8am meetings Monday, and then leave at 1pm on Thursday's. Been doing it for years and wouldn't have it any other way!
3AM wake up sucks, but would prefer to extens the weekend as much as possible
Depends where the client site is. Wouldn't mind spending Sundays in LA but sure as hell not spending them in Iowa
I like it when the client is in a similar time zone. If you're taking Thursday red eyes it can suck to only be home for 2.5 days.
Get it, A3
It's not always possible. Arriving mid afternoon on a Monday when that's the earliest you can get there is often a no go. I also hate crazy early morning flights. It was great when I worked in Chicago and could take an 8 or 10 pm flight.
For those of you who fly the last flight in on sundays - isn't THAT more exhausting?
Absolutely not
