It happens more often than people admit, especially during travel or long projects. Most companies only step in if it affects reporting lines, creates conflicts of interest, or starts impacting the team. Otherwise it usually stays in the “not HR’s business unless it becomes a workplace issue” category.
Yes, twice. Both were supervisors within the org and I minded my own business but lost respect for them. At the one place, it was a not so secret secret and at the 2nd place well he chested with wife 1 with wife 2 so she probs shouldn’t had been surprised it was happening 🤷🏻♀️
There were a few times when I suspected things like that were going on. In one case, it seemed like just about anyone in the department knew about it, it wasn't like the people in question were doing a lot to hide it. I never did anything about it because It wasn't any of my business. I didn't have much to do with them, so it's not like I felt I couldn't trust them or something. I assumed managers knew and also didn't care, as it didn't seem to be anything affecting the workplace.
