I live in a rural place in Italy. Psychologists and psychiatrists ofc tend to base their diagnosis based on the territory, the economic resources etc. but I think that's kinda unfair for someone with ADHD.

From what I understand psychologists first try to push you to explore yourself ,but in the end they're just trying to send you to a psychiatrist to diagnose you with anxiety disorder only. It's a convention for poorer families because I saw other individuals get diagnosed with ADHD.

I saw someone posted a call with his psychiatrist on Facebook and he easily got diagnosed with ADHD and got access to Ritalin, that's because he doesn't have to dedicate his entire life with sacrifice and work. Because I know that if I go to a psychiatrist and I ask for Ritalin they won't give me that, they will instead give me meds that would kill my ADHD which is everything, I would kinda figuratively die under medication. I'm certain of that, because my mother tried to give me some medication some months ago that was partially stopping the secretion of dopamine in the brain, it felt horrible and decreased my sensorial capabilities, I looked numb. With that medication they just give you orders and you don't even have the capabilities to raise your voice. So I guess there are series A citizens and series B dump assholes at this stage. That's why I don't believe in psychotherapists anymore, they would fuck your life and It's pretty unfair.

I'm someone who can learn stuff and I consider myself smart enough to solve complex problems, but they won't allow me to do this in my life now because it's too late. Even at school they could have given me some Ritalin, I wonder why no one dares to change this in Italy because your quality of life would improve from that. It's just that they don't want you to have those energies I think, they want to turn you off that's it.

And I'm saying this because I live in Italy and I know that doctors don't prescribe this kind of medication to their patients, because there's a cultural stigma behind it that makes people think they're giving drugs to their patients.
It's unfair and this limits the possibilities to give the correct help and support to ADHD individuals, no matter the level of hyperactivity, distraction and intelligence they might have.
I mean what I'm trying to say is that doctors in Italy will always try to cure this disorder as a generalized anxiety disorder or bipolarism, no-self awareness or whatever. It's completely unfair.

I’ve designed and implemented many successful worldwide programs.
