One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

How to move into executive leadership? I’m a mid-40s former MBBer with, I think, an impressive and diverse resume. I think I’m suitable for an executive leadership role, but unsure about how to pursue one. Any suggestions? Career coach? Headhunters? Cold “calls”? Thanks!

Can anyone explain the difference between PWC SDC, PWC AC and PWC India?

I am trying to get into PWC. here are a few things I have heard so far. Is this fairly accurate?

1. PwC AC is offshore counterpart of PwC US. Good salary. No travel opportunities. Average yearly hike ~10% Mostly technical work.
2 PwC India is a pure consulting firm. Salary better than PwC AC. client facing work. Can grow as a management consultant. Great Travel opportunities.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay.
