Have you spoken with your manager about the account person though? I find that raising issues internally has helped me in the past. The grass isn’t greener on the other side and if you love the agency you work for you shouldn’t have to leave because one person sucks.
I think if you’ve brought this up multiple times and nothing is changing you have your answer. Poke around and see what other better clients and salaries there are out there.
Leverage the offer and if it doesn't go in your favor then leave. It's not worth it and you'll find a place you'll like just as much eventually
If management is not helping you after a few convos unfortunately they may see the value of this account person (maybe clients love him) over your problem. If you can’t work it out directly with the person, complaining will only hurt your longevity with the company. I’ve been there, learned the hard way. You have to create the solution.
Have you tried talking to anyone about this?
I’ve had several convos actually.
Could be a human connection issue? Remote work does that.
Have tried trying a de brief with this person?
I agree with you here. Since we started remotely we don’t have a connection or relationship really. I’m just not willing to be an emotional punching bag anymore.
I would leverage the new offer you have. It never hurts to use that to your advantage.
