I would suggest having a thread or threads about defending socialism against capitalism. In the real world anti-socialist ideas/arguments are made all the time and for those lessed versed in socialist thought, it can be hard to defend one's position and perhaps even be persuaded bythe capitalists. Gift giving help: every year around this time my husband brings up his Jan bday and basically demands I spend a lot of $ on him. I find this stressful. I don’t do big lavish gifts but each year I feel pressure to or he won’t be happy. When I say this he immediately launches into “haven’t I done this for you, bought that for you”. “If you loved me you would”. His entitlement and manipulation make me feel super resentful and removes the fun of celebrating him. FWIW we earn the same. What to do?
