I've hired a lot of people for my Accounts team that have come from hotel management. Some have had party planning/event coordination experience. Lots of transferable skills in those type of roles. I also have a friend who is a project manager at a plant. Very similar skill set there too.
Well my guess is you probably have 5-10 years experience and young enough to make a pivot. Might have to take a step back in reinventing yourself career, but easy enough to get back to status quo quickly- some suggestions off the top of my head-
Sales, product management, small business management or operations/book keeping, radio/tv/film producer, any random company that needs general account management, could also do niche advertising on a single product/service company which would be an easier situation then say AOR
Hell, search google career opportunities. They have a role for everyone. Watch The Internship for inspiration.
I mean half my job is brand management. These aren’t really separate things on my end of the industry
