I need some pointers on how to get back into the Human Resources field. I have 2.5 years experience in HR (recruiting, generalist, payroll, and assistant). However my experience is from over 10 years ago as I’ve been working in the Social Services field ever since. My educational background (BS and MA) is in HR. I have been applying to HR related roles and my application goes as far as the hiring manager but no interviews. Any suggestions on how to improve my chances to get back into HR?

I applied for the TA position through corporate and would like some insight. the company is short staffed and my site specifically does not have good TA retention. Anyone struggling with imposter syndrome? When I worked for a very well known Fortune500 tech company I couldn't help but feel major imposter syndrome. One- I am a woman in a male dominated industry, I didn't go to a prestigious school like most of my peers and I just didn't think I deserved to be there. Everyday was a struggle and tried to keep myself small so no one would find out I was a "fraud." Looking back on it now, wiser and more experienced, I realized how detrimental feeling that way

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!
